fish inspirations...

A while back when the whole fish resurgence blew up, I was in search of something that was more performance oriented than the classic Lis style fish. Then went on the Speeddialer inspried shapes by Mr. Pavel. Then a trip to Australia and meeting Daniel really lit the fire. HP fish was born after checking out the designs Daniel was surfing on. All the shortboard maneuverability with the speed and glide of a fish. wala! and then the story goes on. That was the early stages of the high performance fishes.
  
HP fish with 'Tomo" inspired fins. pretty neat design concept by Daniel.

9'9 HipPin

This board was influenced when Dane Peterson brought a few logs at the Bu last summer. Wide point back , wide tail and narrower nose. Keeps you perched in the critical part of the wave. Ive been putting this through its paces and its a darn fun board!

Stubbie-simm

This one is based of the Round Pin Simm but tweaked the outline, foil and rails to accomplish a unique bland of a Simm, and a traditional hull.  Very similar rocker to the RPS. Stoked on how this came out! on its way to the Bay Area!

 

 

HP Dialer

This is one of my all time favorite models. Since the whole fish resurgence fell off I haven't gotten many orders for these. Stoked that a local surfer got one!

Jackson got a new shorty!

Yes I still make standard shortboards! Jackson has been helping at the new workshop and he's been picking out some old shaped blanks. I figured there's no better use for those blanks than help a Grom out!

Yew! I finally finished this thing!. Its been sitting laminiated for so long.  Simm inspired but the rocker, rails, foil and fins are nothing close... It'll be interesting!
